Open Sky Stories is physically located in Peterborough, Ontario. “Open Sky Stories respectfully acknowledges that we are on the treaty and traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig Anishinaabeg.  Open Sky Stories offers our gratitude to the First Peoples for their care for, and teachings about, our earth and our relations.  May we honour those teachings.”

Anti-Hate Statement

Open Sky Stories was created to provide a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. Hate and racism will never be tolerated on any of my social media platforms nor in any groups that I create.

As an individual as well as a business owner, I am committed to continually develop my own knowledge and provide support by:

  1. Reading and promoting books written by POC, Black, Indigenous and LGBTQ+ individuals.
  2. Using writing activities written by POC, Black, Indigenous and LGBTQ+ individuals to further explore my privilege, biases and racism.
  3. As I move forward into product sales, I will look for and access businesses who are owned by POC, Black, Indigenous and LGBTQ+ individuals and will not have any dealings with businesses who are not anti-racist.

This is a living document and will continue to evolve as the world and my own understanding of issues evolve.
