Why Choose Me?
As an experienced writing coach and successful author, I offer a rich background and a passionate commitment to inspiring others to discover their unique voice.
Drawing from my expressive arts studies, I’ve acquired powerful techniques that transform writing and art into therapeutic tools. This transformative aspect is a key element I bring to every discussion on writing and storytelling.
Through engaging workshops held at the Peterborough Public Library, International Women’s Day, and virtual writing camps, I have guided both children and adults in exploring topics that directly impact their creative journey. These sessions delve into breaking through the barriers of writer’s block, integrating art into writing practices, honing one’s voice as a writer, and mastering the art of creating personalized mail art. The focus is always on providing participants with valuable insights and practical strategies to enhance their creative expression and storytelling abilities.
Let’s embark on a journey of words together that serve your audience so they:
- learn work with their inner critic
- trust their unique creative process
- write the stories that matter to them
Erica visited my classroom and opened my students eyes to the fact that writing is something that real life adults do. Moreover, she showed how writing has a special power: although it often can’t change how things are on the outside, it can change how we feel on the inside (and this makes all the difference).
Her book, “Pixie and the Bees,” breaks down the vital topic of mental health down to building blocks that children as young as 5 can understand. Mental health is something that has never been more present in public education. Erica’s underlying message, “my words matter,” give students the tools to face and better understand the world around them.
